Day 1: Playing by Finger Numbers

Welcome to the first step of your piano journey! Today, we’ll learn the secret to strong, confident playing: creating beautiful, relaxed, and rounded "Piano Hands." We’ll also explore finger numbering and use it to play your very first song, Hot Cross Buns, without even needing to read a single note!

Day 2: Playing by Rhythm Patterns!

Today, we’ll dive into the world of beat and rhythm using our hands, voices, and movement. You’ll learn to feel the difference between the walk beat (quarter note), slow beat (half note), and tip-toe beat (eighth notes) in a fun, engaging way. We’ll even discover how rhythm comes alive in the song Hot Cross Buns as we clap, speak, and play together!

Day 3: Playing by Note Names!

In this lesson, we’ll explore the map of the piano. You’ll be introduced to the musical alphabet and learn how to find the white keys—C, D, and E—by using the two black key groups as a guide. By the end of the video, you'll feel more confident identifying letter names on the keyboard and understanding how the piano is laid out by playing our next song, Mary Had a Little Lamb.

Day 4: Playing from Sheet Music

The big moment is here! We’ll explore how music is written on the page.

You’ll learn to read music in two different ways:

Note-by-note reading — noticing each note and playing it one at a time
Directional reading — seeing whether the music moves up, down, or stays the same, and letting your hands follow that direction

By the end, you’ll play Mary Had a Little Lamb by following the music on the page—just like real musicians do!
